Good morning! Even though I couldn’t get to see Korn last night, my friends FaceTimed me and I got to see some of the show! How cool was that?!

Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oliver Sykes, who recently revealed he went into rehab a couple of years ago to overcome an addiction to ketamine, is urging others with drug problems to get help. Speaking with Billboard, Sykes said, “For me, it had to get to its absolute worst for me to make a change. Hopefully for others, they won’t have to. This may sound like the lamest advice in the world, but talk to someone, figure out why you’re addicted. I don’t believe that people are born or destined to be addicts.” Sykes added, “There’s always an underlying problem, whether it be self-medicating, using it as a coping mechanism, or using it to not feel all together. First figure out what that is, then work out a healthy way to combat the problem.”

The singer said he was “so reluctant” at first to talk to someone about his problem, saying, “I didn’t think it would help. But even if there’s no answer to your troubles, they will seem so much smaller once they leave your head.” But Sykes’ latest comments seem to contradict an interview he did earlier with Metal Hammer, in which he said, “I don’t regret taking drugs — and I don’t know if I should say it, but everyone should do drugs at some point in their life.” (Huh?)

Bring Me The Horizon’s fifth studio album, That’s The Spirit, debuted at Number Two last month on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling 62,000 copies in its first week of release. The chart and sales numbers were career highs for the British act. Bring Me The Horizon just launched a North American headlining tour that stops in Sayreville, NJ tonight (Oct 6th). As the hardDrive Live Tour is headed to Dallas, TX tonight and news comes that Alter Bridge will enter the studio in January to begin recording the follow-up to 2013′s Fortress, according to Blabbermouth. Guitarist Mark Tremonti told Team Rock, ”We’re gonna go in the studio in January, February and March to finish the fifth Alter Bridge album. It takes three or four months to set up an album, so after we’ve recorded the Alter Bridge record, me and Myles (Kennedy, Alter Bridge singer) will go off and tour for four months doing Tremonti and Slash, then come back for a fall Alter Bridge fiesta.” Tremonti told us separating material between his self-named solo act and Alter Bridge is getting harder to do: “The heavier Alter Bridge gets, that’s the difficulty between keeping Tremonti and Alter Bridge sounding different, is Alter Bridge is getting heavier and heavier and more progressive, and Tremonti just started out heavy. You know, I think what helps me keep the stuff sounding different is the rhythm sections are very different and the vocals are opposite.”

Asked what fans could expect from the next Alter Bridge disc, Tremonti answered, “It could go in any direction. I’ve got a ton of ideas in all different styles. Last time, it was just one heavy idea after another and hopefully this time we can branch out and bring something new to the table.” After finishing the Alter Bridge sessions, Mark Tremonti will release the third album from his self-named band probably in March. Titled Dust, the set was recorded at the same time as this year’s Tremonti album, Cauterize.

Dave must’ve had a couple of belts before the show. LOL The people who sit eating and drinking in exclusive, expensive arena boxes did not escape the ire of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl at a show in Wichita a few days ago. Grohl addressed them, saying, “I know, they own car dealerships and s**t up there, I know who they are. I know who you are, you’ve got a f**king carpet cleaning company, I get it. You got tickets from the hockey team or some s**t, it’s all good. Just so you know, I’m going to rock your f**king balls just as hard as these motherf**kers. You can sit there eating your chicken fingers, but your ass is mine motherf**ker. That’s just how I roll. Hope ya’ll got some f**king ranch with that shit! I get it. Blabbermouth posted this. Slipknot‘s NSFW music video for “XIX,” the opening track from the band’s 2014 album, .5: The Gray Chapter, can now be seen online. Slipknot percussionist Shawn Crahan constructed the song as a three-minute eulogy for the band’s founding bassist Paul Gray, who died in May 2010 of an accidental overdose of morphine and the painkiller fentanyl.
