CHECK THIS OUT…

Hello all!   Well, Toronto Blue Jays fans are super excited this morning their team was not eliminated last night by the KC Royals.   #LGM.  #Let’sGoChicagoCubs.

Meanwhile, we all know Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam is a HUGE Cubbies’ fan.  Chicago’s ESPN Dave Kaplan interviewed him and you can listen here.

This morning, I will have Sully Erna on the hotLine to discuss Godsmack‘s new tune, “Inside Yourself” and what’s up with this new movie role he’s landed.  Always love talking to my friend Sully and talking sports.  I will find out who he likes in the playoffs. We already know he’s a dyed-in-the-wool NE Patriots fan.

Ghost will perform their first major televised show in the U.S. on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Halloween Eve (technically, they will perform in the early hours of Halloween day).   Ghost’s Satanic Cult concept has hindered their mainstream success until recently. Their new track, “Cirice,” has been performing very well, currently at No. 11 on the Active Rock chart, just below Foo Fighters’ “Outside” and Halestorm’s “I Am the Fire.”

Next week, Rob Zombie is our Featured Artist of the Week.  He’ll be talking about his Great American Nightmare amusement park in Villa Park, IL, which runs through Nov. 1.  Have any of my readers been there?  Dying to hear how it is!  Here’s a trailer!

Blabbermouth reports my friend Jacob Bunton and his band Lynam have a new record coming! The rock band from Birmingham, Alabama, will release a new EP titled Bombshell on October 30 via New Ocean Media. The five-song effort was produced by  Jacob and Lonny Paul  of the band, and mixed by Jason Elgin (Collective SoulMaylene and The Sons of Disaster).  The new single, “Send You Back,” is being serviced to radio.

Also from Blabbermouth: Slash has told Inland Valley Daily Bulletin the writing for his next record — the third album with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators — is 90 percent completed. The plan is for the band to enter the studio in the spring to begin recording the disc for a late 2016 release.

The stuff for the next record is really great!  One of the cool things about this band is that instead of peaking early and burning out is we’ve started at one place and escalated in terms of our creative inspiration.”   He continued: “It keeps getting better from record to record, which is a really nice thing to have happen, so yeah, we just seem to get more in a groove the longer we stay together and the harder we work on the road and so on. It just seems to come out in the new material.”

Asked if he prefers performing or recording in a studio, Slash said: “I live for live performing but I can’t perform live if I don’t record, ya know? I like writing and I like composing, seeing an idea through from beginning until it’s a complete song and all that, but at the end of the day, it’s all a means to get out on the road and play in front of an audience.

And finally, can I really have a blog without a Foo Fighters’ item? OF COURSE NOT!Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer joined my beloved Foos on stage this past Sunday, Oct 18 at the 32nd “Grand Finale” Love Ride at Castaic Lake, CA to perform the Queen classic “Tie Your Mother Down”. Video footage of his appearance can be seen here. And some really crappy side stage stuff  here with Dave’s intro.

Said Blotzer: “I was happy to be invited out to see my longtime friends  Foo Fighters at Sunday’s annual Love Ride in Castaic. They are truly one of the five-star bands around and it was especially cool to be invited up to jam with them. They told me they had seen the new YouTube videos of Ratt and that they thought it sounded great. I told Dave [Grohl] and Taylor [Hawkins] that we would love to do some dates with them.” (Thanks again to Blabbermouth.)

Meanwhile, at the Foo Fighters’ final Sonic Highways show the night before in Anaheim. CA,  Dave joked about a conspiracy theory that he faked a broken leg. He says: “I don’t usually sit in this ridiculously awesome fucking throne. But, tonight, I have to, not for any other reason than it is just totally fucking the most radical thing ever. I’ve been walking for months, I just like this fucking throne. It was all a big conspiracy, I just wanted to sit down.”  He added: “Ow, my leg, ow it hurts so bad.”

Grohl, as he has been known to do,  also messed around with an over-served fan: “You’ve got to pace yourself, okay. You look a little fucked up right now. You look a tiny bit fucked up. Let me tell you, I’m here for you. I’m going to walk you through this shit, just don’t fucking barf. I’ve got you, I’m your party police tonight. Now that I know where you’re standing, I’ll be fucking looking for you. If you’re not there in 20 minutes, I’ll know you’re throwing up in the bathroom throwing up or some shit.

I love that guy!!!!

And last but not least, I am so excited to hear the news!  They are making “Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie“!  I was a HUGE fan of that BBC show that aired from 1992-2012. Be still my racing heart!  It will be out next year!  Watch and behold!
