From the pinnacle to the pit: Ghost’s Papa Emeritus falls off the stage in England

Credit: Mikael Eriksson/Infernal DeathGhost frontman Papa Emeritus found himself up close and personal with his fans when accidentally fell from the stage during the band’s show in Leeds, England this week.

Just as the band was launching into their song “Mummy Dust,” the Papa slipped and fell into the photography pit. Fortunately, the singer recovered quite nicely, and used the opportunity to greet and high-five the adoring crowd. Halfway through the song, he triumphantly returned to the stage.

Ghost is currently touring the U.K. in support of their album Meliora and their new single, “Square Hammer.” They’ll return to the U.S. in June for a series of headlining shows and dates opening for Iron Maiden.
