ABC/Randy HolmesBack in 2013, Weezer‘s Rivers Cuomo released an album sung in Japanese along, with Scott Murphy of the pop-punk band Allister. The duo, dubbed Scott & Rivers, will return next week with a new album of Japanese tunes, which will be released April 12.
According to Pitchfork, the album will only be released in Japan, and is available for pre-order now via the Japanese iTunes Store. The first Scott & Rivers record was released physically in Japan, but was eventually distributed worldwide digitally.
Last month, Cuomo and Weezer released a new single called “Feels Like Summer,” which will appear on the band’s forthcoming 11th studio album, due out this year.
