311 has released a “sped up” version of the band’s classic single “Amber.”
As for why the group is revisiting a track that’s over 20 years old, you already know the answer: TikTok.
“My daughters keep showing me TikToks of their friends making videos to ‘Amber,'” says frontman Nick Hexum. “They seem to like it more sped up. I’m like whatever floats your boat!”

The original “Amber” appeared on 311’s 2001 album, From Chaos, and was memorably featured in movies including 50 First Dates and Dear John.
311’s most recent album is 2019’s Voyager.
